These 51 skills and qualities are the backbone of teaching and learning English in education, and - knowingly or unknowingly - they always have been...

Curriculum content and assessment legislation has and will continue to change, but the 51 skills and qualities expected and accepted of a proficient reader, writer, speaker and listener are impervious to intervention.

Furthermore, it is the understanding and ownership of these 51, constant, skills and qualities that empowers the individual with the certainty to thrive, not only within examination but in the reading, writing, speaking and listening of ‘real-life’ communication.
